Cant drag files out of downloads folder macOS sierra






















I doubt the fix for that OS version would apply here. What does it say about the access privileges? What are the access privileges? Are you comfortable with the Terminal.

You could check the permissions for those items from there as well might be more informative. Install anything new? Play with ACLs sandbox fiddling? I don't know how many X11, unix type, command line Could be an OS X system issue.

Many many thanks — it was driving me nuts! But I had little choice but to upgrade after apps e. El Capitan has been issue after issue like this. Spotlight is so much slower, Launchpad is a joke of sluggishness, and the new side-by-side feature sometimes hangs the machine so as to be unusable.

I find that if I double click my mouse in fact I using a Wacom Tablet I can get the drag select to start working again, and I can easily break it again by double clicking.
